It's my last day of summer vacation. Bummer.
However, the kids did a great job today running a 4.2 mile round trip. AND - I learned a new word from my Runnermom friend. Get ready...
Fartlek.
The Fartlek or "Speed Play" Workout
I'd never heard of this one. Apparently, Fartlek (ya just gotta love it!) means speed play in Swedish and has to do with running in intervals to increase speed and endurance. Check out the Web site above to get the 411!!
